Background

We have identified the agricultural industry as a key sector for sustainable growth. It aligns perfectly with our mission and vision of long-term development of the country.
Nepal has an excellent potential in agricultural production; this is a sector which adds value both within and outside the country.
Nepalese agricultural products such as maize silage, Hay and other cattle feed are unmatched in quality. Furthermore, there are specific products that are unique to Nepal’s geography and climate.

Silage Farming

Silage is pasture grass that has been fermented. It is a method used to preserve the pasture for cows and sheep to eat later when natural pasture is not good, like in the dry season. Basically, after cutting the grass and then fermented with the help of technology, the nutrients in the grass can be preserved for 24 months by packing the grass, which can be protected from wind and water.
We have 4 farms and production(factory) setup with acquiring land 920000 square meters for farming grass and capacity of daily production is 100,000.00 Kg per day Packing Size: 60Kg Tube type LD bags.

Process of making silage

  1. Corn silage is made by harvesting crop at 30-38% DM
  2. The chopped crop is compressed and packed in a bale/bag.
  3. Fermentation happens, leading to formation of acetic acid and lactic acid.
  4. Fermentation continues for 3 weeks, creating a nutritious and high energy feed for livestock.
Nutrition profile of Nutri Meal Corn Silage?
Dry mater 30-35%
Crude Protein 7-9%
ADF 25-35%
NFD35-50%
PH 3.7-4.2

Corn Silage

Maize silage is a popular forage for ruminant animals because it is high in energy and digestibility and easily
adapted to mechanization from stand-harvest to feeding. Corn silage tends to have a mild, pleasant odour with only a slightly vinegar smell. It is slightly brown and dark green.
After 70-75 percent of the corn has matured, i.e., after it has become milky corn, after threshing the corn, even the cobs of milky corn are made into silage by machine.

Napier grass silage

Napier grass silage, otherwise known as elephant grass, is a tall-growing perennial forest crop. It is cut, fermented, and used as forage for cattle in tropical countries. Mad Barn’s Feed Bank provides nutritional profiles on +3,400 forages, feeds and supplements used in the equine diet.

Mulato

Mulato II is a semi-erect perennial apomictic grass that can grow up to 9 ft tall. It is established by seed, although it could be propagated vegetatively with stem segments, if necessary. It produces vigorous cylindrical stems (some with a semi-prostrate habit) capable of rooting at the nodes when they soil.

Teosinte Silage

Teosinte (Euchlaena mexicana) is one of the most popular summers growing
cereal fodder, this grass is very much popular among the professional dairy & got farmer because of this grass is rich in energy, dry matter (DM) and other nutrients, Nepalese farmers are not aware yet about this grass though we are producing this grass silage because of we have lots inquiry form our international customers.
Recently company plant 1000 plant of jack fruit and the target production in a year is 550 Metric tons at Udayapur, after 2 or 3 years we will present our product (jack fruit) in Nepal Market and offcuts our team try to export Qatar, Dubai market.
